Book A Magical Stay At The Limestone House

Paternoster is one of those hidden gems in South Africa, offering visitors an escape to a magical world full of beauty and wonder. Located on the west coast, this town is a mere 150 kilometres from Cape Town, but has managed to stay untouched by the impersonal commercial development seen most anywhere else. It is here that you will find the Limestone House – a spacious home offering comfortable accommodation to those wanting to explore this little gem.

Limestone House is extremely generous with space and offers three bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed, the other two with double beds each, two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, a ten seater table designed to host long drawn out meals, and a giant fireplace. Adjacent to the house is an apartment that offers two bedrooms, one full bathroom, inside braai, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room-lounge. From here one has the most amazing sea views.

A mere fifty meters away from the house is Paternoster's most beautiful beach with secluded coves and huge boulders. Apart from the sun-bathing opportunities, there are also many opportunities for those who enjoy some fishing. You can even go out on a boat for some deep sea angling. For those who would rather prefer an adventure on land, you can explore the landscape on horseback. Adjacent to the little village is the Columbine Nature Reserve, and a few minutes' drive you will get to the West Coast Fossil Park where you can see a large collection of rare fossils.

Returning to the ocean, you can partake in exciting water sports such as kayaking, or go kite flying or even kite surfing. A visit to the Cape Columbine Lighthouse is also a must, as this is one of the last manually controlled lighthouses in the country.

Paternoster might be a quiet, idyllic fishermen's village, but it clearly has no shortage of wonder and adventure. Contact us at the Limestone House to find out more about the area, activities and how to book your stay.
